The University of Utah is committed to compliance with our environmental permits and the laws and regulations that protect the natural environment. Moreover, the University embraces an environmentally sustainable future that includes the use of renewable sources of energy, energy conservation, water conservation, pollution prevention, recycling, and environmentally conscious land-use planning.

To these ends the University’s EHS department manages environmental programs in the following areas:
